Debra, RVT

Debra earned her veterinary technology degree from the Kirkwood Community College’s Veterinary Technician Program in 2017. Debra joined our team in 2017. Her love for animals began early—growing up watching her mom care for orphaned and injured wildlife, and sharing her home with both the usual pets and a few not-so-usual ones along the way. That lifelong passion naturally led her into veterinary medicine.

At the clinic, Debra especially enjoys assisting with surgical procedures and takes pride in helping pets safely and calmly through surgery, as well as comforting nervous and scared patients when they need it most.

Outside of work, Debra loves gardening, thrifting, fixing and making things, and spending time with her daughter and their animal crew—which includes two cats and a rat.
